What is mgmdHostInterfaceStatus?

This object controls whether the host-side IGMP (for IPv4) or MLD (for IPv6) multicast protocol is active on a network interface. Enabling it allows the interface to participate in multicast group membership, while disabling it stops multicast functionality on that port. An operator would modify this to enable or disable multicast support as part of network provisioning or for security isolation.
