For example, the error level will send the specific messages which severity code is less or equal than error(3), the warning level will send the specific messages which severity code is less or equal than warning(4), the notice level will send the specific messages which severity code is less or equal than notice(5), the informational level will send the specific messages which severity code is less or equal than informational(6) and the enumeration option of all(8) isn't used in this case.
What is me1200SyslogConfigServerLevel?
This read-write ME1200SyslogLevelType sets the minimum severity of messages that get forwarded to the syslog server, using levels error(3), warning(4), notice(5), or informational(6); each level forwards that severity and everything more severe (numerically lower). An admin tunes this to control how noisy the remote logging feed is, for example forwarding only error(3) and above to avoid flooding the collector with routine notices. Setting me1200SyslogConfigServerLevel to warning(4) would forward warning and error messages to the syslog server while suppressing notice and informational ones.
