me1200LoopProtectionInterfaceParamTransmit

Module: ME1200-LOOP-PROTECTION-MIB

OID (symbolic): ME1200-LOOP-PROTECTION-MIB::me1200LoopProtectionInterfaceParamTransmit

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.815.1.91.1.2.2.1.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TruthValue

Access: read-write

Description: Actively generate PDUs

What is me1200LoopProtectionInterfaceParamTransmit?

This read-write flag controls whether this port actively generates loop-detection PDUs, as opposed to only passively listening for loops. Admins enable this on ports where they want the device to actively probe for loops rather than rely solely on detecting another device's loop-detection traffic looping back. Setting me1200LoopProtectionInterfaceParamTransmit to true(1) on a port causes the device to send its own loop-detection frames out that port to actively test for a physical loop.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.815.1.91.1.2.2.1.1.4
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ME1200-LOOP-PROTECTION-MIB::me1200LoopProtectionInterfaceParamTransmit

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.815.1.91.1.2.2.1.1.4.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ME1200-LOOP-PROTECTION-MIB::me1200LoopProtectionInterfaceParamTransmit.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.815.1.91.1.2.2.1.1.4.1 s <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> me1200LoopProtectionInterfaceParamTransmit.1
