me1200LoopProtectionGlobalsShutdownPeriod

Module: ME1200-LOOP-PROTECTION-MIB

OID (symbolic): ME1200-LOOP-PROTECTION-MIB::me1200LoopProtectionGlobalsShutdownPeriod

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.815.1.91.1.2.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-write

Description: Port shutdown period (seconds). Valid range: 0 to 604800 seconds.

What is me1200LoopProtectionGlobalsShutdownPeriod?

This object sets how long, in seconds within a valid range of 0-604800 (one week), a port stays shut down after a loop is detected on it. Admins tune this to control how long a port remains disabled following a detected loop, balancing safety against how quickly a resolved cabling issue can be brought back into service. Setting me1200LoopProtectionGlobalsShutdownPeriod to 300 would keep a looped port disabled for 5 minutes before it's allowed to come back up automatically.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.815.1.91.1.2.1.3.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ME1200-LOOP-PROTECTION-MIB::me1200LoopProtectionGlobalsShutdownPeriod.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.815.1.91.1.2.1.3.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> me1200LoopProtectionGlobalsShutdownPeriod.1
