Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TruthValue

Access: read-write

Description: The lldpXdot1dcbxConfigApplicationVlanTxEnable, which is defined as a truth value and configured by the network management, determines whether the IEEE 802.1 organizationally defined Application VLAN TLV transmission is allowed on a given LLDP transmission-capable port.

The value of this object is restored from non-volatile storage after a re-initialization of the management system.

What is lldpXdot1dcbxConfigApplicationVlanTxEnable?

This read-write flag controls whether the Application VLAN TLV, which maps an application/protocol to a specific VLAN, is transmitted on a given port. Admins enable it so a connected endpoint can automatically discover which VLAN it should tag traffic for a given application into, reducing manual per-device VLAN configuration. It defaults to false and its value is restored from non-volatile storage after re-initialization.
