lldpV2Xdot1LocVidUsageDigest

Module: LLDP-EXT-DOT1-V2-MIB

OID (symbolic): LLDP-EXT-DOT1-V2-MIB::lldpV2Xdot1LocVidUsageDigest

OID (numeric): 1.3.111.2.802.1.1.13.1.5.32962.1.2.5.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-only

Description: The integer value obtained by applying the CRC32 function to the 128-octet VID Usage Table. A bit of the VID Usage Table contains the value PBB-TE-USAGE (binary 1) if the corresponding element of the MST Configuration Table (IEEE Std 802.1Q 8.9.1) contains the value PBB-TE MSTID (hex FFE) and otherwise contains the value NON-PBB-TE-USAGE (binary 0).

What is lldpV2Xdot1LocVidUsageDigest?

This read-only 32-bit value is a CRC32 checksum computed over the local system's 128-octet VID Usage Table, where each bit marks whether the corresponding VLAN is used for PBB-TE (Provider Backbone Bridging Traffic Engineering). Admins compare this digest against a neighbor's remote digest to quickly spot a PBB-TE VLAN-assignment mismatch without decoding the full usage table bit by bit. A mismatch between local and remote digests signals that the two ends disagree on which VLANs are reserved for PBB-TE.
