lldpV2Xdot1ConfigProtocolTxEnable
Module: LLDP-EXT-DOT1-V2-MIB
OID (symbolic): LLDP-EXT-DOT1-V2-MIB::lldpV2Xdot1ConfigProtocolTxEnable
OID (numeric): 1.3.111.2.802.1.1.13.1.5.32962.1.1.4.1.1
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: TruthValue
Access: read-write
Description: The boolean value that indicates whether the corresponding Local System Protocol Identity instance is transmitted on the port defined by the given lldpV2Xdot1LocProtocolEntry.
The value of this object is restored from non-volatile storage after a re-initialization of the management system.
What is lldpV2Xdot1ConfigProtocolTxEnable?
This flag governs whether the Protocol Identity TLV for a specific protocol entry on the local port is sent in LLDP advertisements. An admin enables it when they want peers to discover which higher-layer protocols (e.g. spanning tree, VLAN tagging protocols) are actively running on the port, useful for auditing unexpected protocol traffic. Like its sibling TLV-enable objects, it defaults to false and is restored from non-volatile storage on restart.
Examples
Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.111.2.802.1.1.13.1.5.32962.1.1.4.1.1 snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> LLDP-EXT-DOT1-V2-MIB::lldpV2Xdot1ConfigProtocolTxEnable
Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.111.2.802.1.1.13.1.5.32962.1.1.4.1.1.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> LLDP-EXT-DOT1-V2-MIB::lldpV2Xdot1ConfigProtocolTxEnable.1
Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):
snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.111.2.802.1.1.13.1.5.32962.1.1.4.1.1.1 s <value>
