lldpXdot1EvbConfigEvbTxEnable
Module: LLDP-EXT-DOT1-EVB-EXTENSIONS-MIB
OID (symbolic): LLDP-EXT-DOT1-EVB-EXTENSIONS-MIB::lldpXdot1EvbConfigEvbTxEnable
OID (numeric): 1.3.111.2.802.1.1.13.1.5.32962.7.1.1.1.1.1.1.1
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: TruthValue
Access: read-write
Description: The lldpXdot1EvbConfigEvbTxEnable, which is defined as a truth value and configured by the network management, determines whether the IEEE 802.1 organizationally defined EVB TLV transmission is allowed on a given LLDP transmission-capable port.
The value of this object is restored from non-volatile storage after a re-initialization of the management system.
What is lldpXdot1EvbConfigEvbTxEnable?
This read-write TruthValue, defaulting to false, determines whether transmission of the IEEE 802.1 EVB (Edge Virtual Bridging) TLV is allowed on a given LLDP-capable port, and it augments the standard lldpV2PortConfigEntry so it exists only alongside that port's LLDP configuration. An admin sets this to true on ports connecting to EVB-aware devices, such as virtualization hosts, so the switch advertises EVB capability over LLDP on that link; the setting persists across a management-system reinitialization. For example, an admin enables this on the port facing a hypervisor host to allow EVB TLV negotiation for virtual switch coordination on that link.
