lldpV2Xdot1RemEvbTlvString

Module: LLDP-EXT-DOT1-EVB-EXTENSIONS-MIB

OID (symbolic): LLDP-EXT-DOT1-EVB-EXTENSIONS-MIB::lldpV2Xdot1RemEvbTlvString

OID (numeric): 1.3.111.2.802.1.1.13.1.5.32962.7.1.1.1.3.1.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: OCTET STRING

Access: read-only

Description: This object contains the EVB TLV information string for the Port, as defined in D.2.13. As the elements within the string are not individually manipulated via SNMP (they are of concern only to the state machines), the sub-structure of the string is not visible as separate objects within the local database.

What is lldpV2Xdot1RemEvbTlvString?

This read-only OCTET STRING, 0 to 514 bytes, holds the raw EVB TLV information string received from a remote system, indexed by the standard LLDP remote-entry keys lldpV2RemTimeMark, lldpV2RemLocalIfIndex, lldpV2RemLocalDestMACAddress, and lldpV2RemIndex, with its internal structure not exposed as separate objects. An admin uses this to see what EVB capability the neighboring device on a given port is advertising, useful when troubleshooting EVB negotiation with an attached host or bridge. For example, an admin compares this remote string against the local lldpV2Xdot1LocEvbTlvString on the same port to verify both sides are advertising compatible EVB TLV data.
