lldpV2Xdot1RemCdcpTlvString

Module: LLDP-EXT-DOT1-EVB-EXTENSIONS-MIB

OID (symbolic): LLDP-EXT-DOT1-EVB-EXTENSIONS-MIB::lldpV2Xdot1RemCdcpTlvString

OID (numeric): 1.3.111.2.802.1.1.13.1.5.32962.7.1.1.1.3.2.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: OCTET STRING

Access: read-only

Description: This object contains the CDCP TLV information string for the Port, as defined in D.2.14. As the elements within the string are not individually manipulated via SNMP (they are of concern only to the state machines), the sub-structure of the string is not visible as separate objects within the local database.

What is lldpV2Xdot1RemCdcpTlvString?

This read-only OCTET STRING, 0 to 514 bytes, holds the raw CDCP TLV information string received from a remote system, indexed by the standard LLDP remote-entry keys lldpV2RemTimeMark, lldpV2RemLocalIfIndex, lldpV2RemLocalDestMACAddress, and lldpV2RemIndex, with its internal structure not exposed as separate objects. An admin uses this to see what CDCP (S-channel) information the neighboring device is advertising on a given port, useful when diagnosing a failed S-channel negotiation. For example, an admin retrieves this string to confirm whether a connected multichannel adapter is advertising CDCP TLV data at all before troubleshooting further up the stack.
