lpsSnmpInternalAgentTrapMask

Module: LANPLEX-SYSTEMS-MIB-1-2-2

OID (symbolic): LANPLEX-SYSTEMS-MIB-1-2-2::lpsSnmpInternalAgentTrapMask

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.114.1.4.5.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: OCTET STRING

Access: read-write

Description: This value is a bit string that indicates which traps are enabled for transmit to other agents in the system. The octet string value is treated as a 64-bit integer value. The value is a sum. It initially takes on the value 0, then for each trap which is enabled, 2 raised to the value of (lpsAgentTrapDescriptionIndex - 1) for that trap is added to the sum.

What is lpsSnmpInternalAgentTrapMask?

A read-write 64-bit mask (stored as an 8-byte OCTET STRING) selecting which traps this agent forwards internally to other agents in the chassis, built by adding 2^(trap-index-1) for each enabled trap listed in the trap description table. An admin sets this to control internal trap fan-out between the agents of a multi-agent chassis, rather than every agent flooding every trap.
