lpsBridgePortAddressRemoteAddress
Module: LANPLEX-SYSTEMS-MIB-1-2-2
OID (symbolic): LANPLEX-SYSTEMS-MIB-1-2-2::lpsBridgePortAddressRemoteAddress
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.114.1.4.10.5.1.4
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: OCTET STRING
Access: read-write
Description: The remote MAC address detected on the bridge port identified by to this entry. Setting this object results in an attempt to create a new entry in the table. Since the value of lpsBridgePortAddressIndex is determined automatically internal to the bridge, a set is only successful if the index value specified for lpsBridgePortAddressIndex is zero. A get-next using the values of lpsBridgePortAddressTypeIndex and lpsBridgePortAddressPortIndex can be used to determine the address index assigned to the newly added address entry.
What is lpsBridgePortAddressRemoteAddress?
The remote MAC address (6 octets, canonical bit order) learned or configured on a given bridge port. Setting this object on a new (index-zero) entry attempts to add a static address; the assigned index can then be found with a get-next using the type and port index, letting an admin programmatically add static MAC entries to the bridge.
