lpsAgentTrapDestinationTrapMask
Module: LANPLEX-SYSTEMS-MIB-1-2-2
OID (symbolic): LANPLEX-SYSTEMS-MIB-1-2-2::lpsAgentTrapDestinationTrapMask
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.114.1.4.6.6.1.3
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: OCTET STRING
Access: read-write
Description: This value is a bit string that indicates which traps are enabled for the address identified by this entry. The octet string value is treated as a 64-bit value. The value is a sum. It initially takes on the value 0, then for each trap which is enabled, 2 raised to the value of (lpsAgentTrapDescriptionIndex - 1) for that trap is added to the sum. A new entry in the table is created by setting the value of this object for a new destination address type and destination address. Note that an octet string of all zeros is not a valid value for this object.
What is lpsAgentTrapDestinationTrapMask?
A read-write 64-bit mask (an 8-byte OCTET STRING, never all zeros) selecting which traps are sent to a given destination address, built by adding 2^(lpsAgentTrapDescriptionIndex-1) for each enabled trap; writing this object for a new address/type pair also creates the destination entry. An admin uses this to send only a subset of trap types (e.g. just link-down and power alarms) to a particular NMS.
