Description: QCI private MIB defining proprietary objects for keying and access control management on QCI network or security equipment.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is KEYING-PRIVATE-MIB?
This is a QCI (QUANTA) proprietary private enterprise MIB providing objects for a keying/license utility used on QUANTA-based network or security equipment, likely for enabling or disabling licensed features via key codes. It exposes a small table-based object set for managing feature enable/disable keys, functioning more as a licensing/configuration control mechanism than a rich telemetry MIB. In a monitoring context, it would be used to confirm the current keying/license state of optional features on the device -- essentially a software configuration/licensing status check rather than hardware health telemetry. There is no apparent dependency beyond standard SNMPv2-SMI enterprise conventions, as it's a small self-contained proprietary module. It is deployed on QUANTA-manufactured or QCI-branded network appliances that support optional licensed feature activation via SNMP. Engineers can download the KEYING-PRIVATE-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in KEYING-PRIVATE-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- QCI/QUANTA-based network or security appliances
Monitoring Examples
An administrator would poll agentFeatureKeyingTable/agentFeatureKeyingEntry to check the current enable/disable key status of a licensed feature on the device, using agentFeatureKeyingEnableKey and agentFeatureKeyingDisableKey to programmatically activate or deactivate functionality. This is used less for fault detection and more for confirming that the correct feature license state is applied after a configuration change. An unexpected entry showing a feature still disabled after an enable-key was applied would indicate a licensing or provisioning issue.
What Can Be Monitored
- feature enable/disable key status
- licensed feature activation state
- keying table entries per feature
