Description: When enabled, LCP state machine is forced into passive mode on lower layer UP message. It adds compatibility with slow and buggy clients.

What is juniPppMlPppLinkConfigPassiveMode?

When enabled, this forces the LCP state machine for this MLPPP member link into passive mode as soon as the lower layer comes up. It mirrors juniPppLinkConfigPassiveMode but per member link. For example, an admin would enable this on a member link connecting to an older multilink-capable device that needs the router to wait rather than initiate.
