Description: The number of times a packet could not be sent to a DODAG parent flagged as valid.
What is rplValidParentFailures?
Counts how many times a packet couldn't be delivered to a DODAG parent that was flagged as valid. An admin treats a rising count here as a sign of an unreliable link to the node's supposedly-good upstream parent.
