iscsiTgtLoginFailure

Module: ISCSI-MIB

OID (symbolic): ISCSI-MIB::iscsiTgtLoginFailure

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.142.0.1

Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE

Description: Sent when a login is failed by a target.

To avoid sending an excessive number of notifications due to multiple errors counted, an SNMP agent implementing this notification SHOULD NOT send more than 3 notifications of this type in any 10-second time period.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' ISCSI-MIB::iscsiTgtLoginFailure
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.2.1.142.0.1

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public

Example snmptrapd log entry:

zoo11-linux.zoo [UDP: [192.168.30.111]:58889->[192.168.30.10]:162]:
  DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance = Timeticks: (135775753) 15 days, 17:09:17.53
  SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID.0 = OID: ISCSI-MIB::iscsiTgtLoginFailure
