Description: The total number of ICMP messages received by the interface which includes all those counted by ipv6IfIcmpInErrors. Note that this interface is the interface to which the ICMP messages were addressed which may not be necessarily the input interface for the messages.

This object has been obsoleted by IP-MIB::icmpStatsInMsgs.

What is ipv6IfIcmpInMsgs?

The total count of ICMPv6 messages received on this interface, including any that turned out to be errors. This object is obsolete, superseded by IP-MIB::icmpStatsInMsgs, so on modern stacks look there instead for the same overall inbound ICMP volume.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.56.1.1.1.1
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> IPV6-ICMP-MIB::ipv6IfIcmpInMsgs

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.56.1.1.1.1.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> IPV6-ICMP-MIB::ipv6IfIcmpInMsgs.1
