ippmMulticastInstantaneousMeasureReport

Module: IPPM-CONTROL-MIB

OID (symbolic): IPPM-CONTROL-MIB::ippmMulticastInstantaneousMeasureReport

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.3.10001.2

Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE

Description: This NOTIFICATION-TYPE is used by the receiver or the router to push the result of the measure performed according the ippmMulticastInstantaneousMeasureSetup setup.

(*) is only applicable for router. { comment: This report definition has to be split to get one for receiver and one for router.}

Note: An ippmHistoryValue is indexed using the owner, the owner index, the metric index and the timestamp (e.g.: acme.1.6.0106150820100100). So the metric index identifies which metric result (One-way-Delay, Packet- Loss, Connectivity) the ippmHistoryValue carries.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' IPPM-CONTROL-MIB::ippmMulticastInstantaneousMeasureReport
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.3.10001.2

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public

Example snmptrapd log entry:

zoo11-linux.zoo [UDP: [192.168.30.111]:54752->[192.168.30.10]:162]:
  DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance = Timeticks: (364141024) 42 days, 3:30:10.24
  SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID.0 = OID: IPPM-CONTROL-MIB::ippmMulticastInstantaneousMeasureReport
