What is ipFrrProtectedRoutes?

Reports the number of routes on this router that have at least one alternate next-hop available. Admins use this to measure how much of the routing table currently benefits from IP Fast-Reroute's sub-50ms failover, as opposed to falling back to normal (slower) routing protocol reconvergence. Comparing ipFrrProtectedRoutes against ipFrrTotalRoutes lets an admin report what percentage of the network's traffic paths are fast-reroute protected.

Examples

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> IPFRR-MIB::ipFrrProtectedRoutes

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.4.999.1.1.3.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> IPFRR-MIB::ipFrrProtectedRoutes.1
