Description: Verilink IPAD router MIB providing SNMP objects for static and dynamic routing configuration on IPAD access platforms.

Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is IPAD-ROUTER-MIB?
IPAD-ROUTER-MIB is a vendor-specific MIB from Verilink for the routing functionality of its IPAD (Integrated Packet Access Device) access platform, part of Verilink's HBU/IPAD product family used for WAN/broadband access. It belongs to the network routing configuration and monitoring category for access routers. It exposes a circuit-oriented table describing each routed circuit's IP address, subnet mask, maximum transmit unit, routing cost, and which routing protocols (RIP, OSPF, multicast) are enabled on it. Its monitoring value is primarily verifying software/configuration status of the router's WAN circuits - confirming correct IP addressing, MTU, and which dynamic routing protocols are active per circuit - to diagnose routing adjacency failures or misconfigured links. It builds on general IP routing concepts (RIP, OSPF) rather than importing another SNMP MIB directly, and is deployed on Verilink IPAD access routers at customer premises or carrier network edges for WAN connectivity. Engineers can download the IPAD-ROUTER-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in IPAD-ROUTER-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Verilink IPAD access router
Monitoring Examples
An administrator can poll ipadCircuitTable/ipadCircuitTableEntry, indexed by ipadCircuitIndex, to read ipadCircuitIpAddress and ipadCircuitIpMask and confirm a circuit's addressing matches provisioning records. Checking ipadCircuitEnableRIP and ipadCircuitEnableOSPF reveals whether the expected dynamic routing protocol is actually enabled on that circuit, and comparing ipadCircuitCost against the design would flag a misconfigured routing preference; ipadCircuitMaxTransmitUnit helps catch an MTU mismatch causing fragmentation issues.
What Can Be Monitored
- circuit IP address/subnet mask
- circuit MTU
- circuit routing cost
- RIP/OSPF/multicast enabled per circuit
