a1004WatchdogTimerResolution

Module: INTELCORPORATIONICMBGENERICCHASSIS-MIB

OID (symbolic): INTELCORPORATIONICMBGENERICCHASSIS-MIB::a1004WatchdogTimerResolution

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.343.2.6.2.5.1.1004.1.10

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: DmiInteger

Access: read-only

Description: Resolution to which a watchdog update interval can be set. For example, a watchdog timer resolution of R microsecond and an watchdog timer increment of I microseconds would indicate that a watchdog update interva setting of N will produce a (N*I)-R to (N*I) microseconds delay. In LSC Local Console, this value is shown in Seconds.

What is a1004WatchdogTimerResolution?

Reports the resolution of the watchdog update interval; per the source formula, a resolution of R microseconds with an increment of I microseconds means a configured interval of N produces a delay between (N*I)-R and (N*I) microseconds, shown in seconds in the LSC Local Console. An admin factors this tolerance into how tight a watchdog interval can safely be configured.
