x25extCircuitTimeout

Module: INTEL-X25EXT-MIB

OID (symbolic): INTEL-X25EXT-MIB::x25extCircuitTimeout

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.343.6.27.1.1.1.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: Seconds left before timeout of the current state. If a call request is sent but no reply received x25extCircuitTimeout will show how many seconds remains before the call request is retransmitted. If the link is up but the current window is 0 x25extCircuitTimeout will show how many seconds remains before the link is reset and x25extCircuitOutFlowStuckResets is incremented.

What is x25extCircuitTimeout?

This read-only value reports the seconds remaining before a timeout-driven action occurs on this circuit: if a call request was sent without a reply, it counts down to retransmission of the request, and if the link is up but the current window is 0, it counts down to a link reset (which also increments x25extCircuitOutFlowStuckResets). Admins watch it to see whether a circuit is stuck waiting on a call setup response or stalled due to zero flow-control window. For example, a low and shrinking x25extCircuitTimeout on a zero-window circuit warns an admin the link is about to be reset for a stuck flow condition.
