Description: The Robustness Variable allows tuning for the expected packet loss on a subnet. If a subnet is expected to be lossy, the Robustness Variable may be increased. IGMP and MLD is robust to (Robustness Variable-1) packet losses.

Tunes how many packet losses (Robustness-1) the IGMP/MLD protocol can tolerate on this interface's subnet before misbehaving — the default is 2, but a lossy Wi-Fi or radio link might warrant raising it to reduce false membership timeouts.
