Description: The Bridge Priority of the bridge in the LSP database. This is a 16 bit quantity which ranks this SPB Bridge relative to others when breaking ties. This priority is the high 16 bits of the Bridge Identifier. Its impact depends on the tie breaking algorithm. Recommend values 0..15 be assigned to core switches to ensure diversity of the ECT Algorithms.

What is ieee8021SpbTopNodeEntryBridgePriority?

This read-only object contains the 16-bit bridge priority value for a specific bridge as recorded in the Shortest Path Bridging (SPB) LSP (Link State Protocol) database. Lower priority values indicate higher preference in tie-breaking scenarios. An operator would monitor this value to understand how their SPB-enabled bridges rank against each other in the network and to diagnose topology convergence or load-balancing issues.
