ieee8021QBridgeForwardUnregisteredForbiddenPorts

Module: IEEE8021-Q-BRIDGE-MIB

OID (symbolic): IEEE8021-Q-BRIDGE-MIB::ieee8021QBridgeForwardUnregisteredForbiddenPorts

OID (numeric): 1.3.111.2.802.1.1.4.1.2.5.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: PortList

Access: read-write

Description: The set of ports configured by management in this VLAN for which the Service Requirement attribute Forward Unregistered Multicast Groups may not be dynamically registered by MMRP. This value will be restored after the device is reset. A port may not be added in this set if it is already a member of the set of ports in ieee8021QBridgeForwardUnregisteredStaticPorts. The default value is a string of zeros of appropriate length.

The value of this object MUST be retained across reinitializations of the management system.

What is ieee8021QBridgeForwardUnregisteredForbiddenPorts?

The set of ports an admin has blocked from ever dynamically registering to receive unregistered multicast traffic on this VLAN, overriding what MMRP would otherwise learn.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.111.2.802.1.1.4.1.2.5.1.4
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> IEEE8021-Q-BRIDGE-MIB::ieee8021QBridgeForwardUnregisteredForbiddenPorts

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.111.2.802.1.1.4.1.2.5.1.4.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> IEEE8021-Q-BRIDGE-MIB::ieee8021QBridgeForwardUnregisteredForbiddenPorts.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.111.2.802.1.1.4.1.2.5.1.4.1 s <value>
