ieee8021FqtssTxSelectionAlgorithmID
Module: IEEE8021-FQTSS-MIB
OID (symbolic): IEEE8021-FQTSS-MIB::ieee8021FqtssTxSelectionAlgorithmID
OID (numeric): 1.3.111.2.802.1.1.16.1.2.1.1.2
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: IEEE8021FqtssTxSelectionAlgorithmIDValue
Access: read-write
Description: The identifier of the transmission selection algorithm assigned to the traffic class.
The value of this object MUST be retained across reinitializations of the management system.
What is ieee8021FqtssTxSelectionAlgorithmID?
This read-write value identifies which transmission selection algorithm, such as strict priority or the credit-based shaper, is assigned to a given traffic class on a bridge port, per the Transmission Selection Algorithm Table defined in IEEE 802.1Q clause 8.6.8. Admins set it to control how each traffic class's queue is serviced for transmission, which is central to prioritizing time-sensitive traffic ahead of best-effort traffic. For example, an admin would assign the credit-based-shaper algorithm ID to the traffic classes carrying AVB/TSN streams while leaving lower-priority classes on strict priority or another algorithm.
