ieee8021FqtssDeltaBandwidth

Module: IEEE8021-FQTSS-MIB

OID (symbolic): IEEE8021-FQTSS-MIB::ieee8021FqtssDeltaBandwidth

OID (numeric): 1.3.111.2.802.1.1.16.1.1.1.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: IEEE8021FqtssDeltaBandwidthValue

Access: read-write

Description: The value of the deltaBandwidth parameter for the traffic class. This value is represented as a fixed point number scaled by a factor of 1,000,000; i.e., 100,000,000 (the maximum value) represents 100%.

The default value of the deltaBandwidth parameter for the highest numbered traffic class that supports the credit-based shaper algorithm is 75%; for all lower numbered traffic classes that support the credit-based shaper algorithm the default value is 0%.

The value of this object MUST be retained across reinitializations of the management system.

What is ieee8021FqtssDeltaBandwidth?

This read-write value sets the deltaBandwidth parameter, as a percentage scaled by 1,000,000, for a traffic class using the IEEE 802.1Qav credit-based shaper, with the highest-numbered shaped traffic class defaulting to 75% and lower ones defaulting to 0%. Admins tune it to control how much of the port's remaining bandwidth is allocated to time-sensitive streams in that traffic class. For example, a raw value of 75000000 represents 75%, meaning that traffic class is allocated three-quarters of the available shaped bandwidth on the port.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.111.2.802.1.1.16.1.1.1.1.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> IEEE8021-FQTSS-MIB::ieee8021FqtssDeltaBandwidth

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.111.2.802.1.1.16.1.1.1.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> IEEE8021-FQTSS-MIB::ieee8021FqtssDeltaBandwidth.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.111.2.802.1.1.16.1.1.1.1.2.1 s <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> ieee8021FqtssDeltaBandwidth.1
