Description: Enumerated value indicating what, if anything, is to be included in the Sender ID TLV (21.5.3) transmitted by MHFs created by the Default Maintenance Domain. If this object has the value sendIdDefer, Sender ID TLV transmission for this VLAN is controlled by ieee8021CfmDefaultMdDefIdPermission.
The value of this variable is meaningless if the values of ieee8021CfmDefaultMdStatus is false.
What is ieee8021CfmDefaultMdIdPermission?
This controls what identifying information, if any, default-domain MIP Half Functions include in the Sender ID TLV of the CFM frames they transmit for a VLAN, with sendIdDefer deferring to ieee8021CfmDefaultMdDefIdPermission instead. Admins use it to control how much device-identifying detail, such as chassis ID, leaks into CFM diagnostic frames for that VLAN. Setting it to a value like sendChassis, for instance, makes default MHFs include chassis identification in their Sender ID TLV.
