This reports what kind of time-log event this entry records: the start or end of accounting collection, creation of new storage media, a media wrap, a system time change, a manager setting the time, a record-format change, or a time reference marker. An admin scans this field to quickly find, say, when accounting collection was started or stopped, or when a buffer wrapped.
