IBM6611-DLS-MIB is an IBM enterprise MIB for the Data Link Switching (DLSw) protocol on IBM 6611 Network Processor routers, used to bridge SNA and NetBIOS traffic over IP/TCP networks in legacy mainframe-connected environments. It exposes configuration and status objects for DLSw peer routers (a router table with peer address and status), frame and name filtering rules, and virtual ring segment identifiers used in source-route bridging. Its monitoring emphasis is on software/protocol service status rather than raw hardware sensors: administrators check ibmdlsRouterStatus to confirm DLSw peer connections are up and review filter tables to verify which frames/names are being permitted or blocked across the SNA-over-IP tunnel.
