Module: IB-SMA-MIB

OID (symbolic): IB-SMA-MIB::ibSmaPortQKeyViolations

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.3.117.3.1.4.36

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Counter32

Access: read-only

Description: Counts the number of SMP packets that have been received at this port that have invalid Q_Keys. This object is a latching gauge, in that whenever the maximum gauge value is encountered (i.e., the count reaches all 1's), the SMA must reset the gauge to 0, before this object begins incrementing its count again.

What is ibSmaPortQKeyViolations?

Counts SMP packets received at this port with an invalid Q_Key (queue key); a rising count suggests a misconfigured or unauthorized queue pair attempting to send datagrams it isn't keyed for.
