ibSmPartitionVectorElementSize

Module: IB-SM-MIB

OID (symbolic): IB-SM-MIB::ibSmPartitionVectorElementSize

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.3.117.7.1.5.1.1.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-only

Description: Indicates the size (in bytes) of each element in the vector.
Each GET operation on the 'ibSmPartitionVector' variable will
return zero or more elements. Each element is ten(10) bytes
long. This is how the ten bytes are coded (in network byte
order):

byte  description
----  -----------
1-8   Node-GUID of the member
9     Port number (0..255)
10    Partition type (1=full-membership, 2=limited-membership)

The number of elements in 'ibSmPartitionVector' can be
calculated by dividing 'ibSmPartitionVectorSize' by
'ibSmPartitionVectorElementSize'.

What is ibSmPartitionVectorElementSize?

The size in bytes of each element in the partition vector; the source says each element is ten bytes long with a defined coding. Use it to split the vector into individual partition entries when parsing.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.3.117.7.1.5.1.1.6
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> IB-SM-MIB::ibSmPartitionVectorElementSize

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.3.117.7.1.5.1.1.6.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> IB-SM-MIB::ibSmPartitionVectorElementSize.1

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> ibSmPartitionVectorElementSize.1
