What is ibIfPortSymbolErrs?

This counter tracks the total number of minor symbol-level link errors detected on one or more of the InfiniBand port's physical lanes. A rising symbol error count is often the earliest sign of a marginal cable, connector, or transceiver before more serious errors like link downs appear. An admin monitoring InfiniBand fabric health would flag a port with climbing ibIfPortSymbolErrs for cable inspection before it degrades further.
