This read-only value, either 0 or 1, reports the access type in use for an AP device, distinguishing between the tunneled-forwarding and direct-access modes referenced elsewhere in this MIB. An admin reads it to confirm whether a given AP's traffic is being tunneled through the AC or forwarded directly at the access layer. For example, an admin auditing which APs are configured for local traffic offload would check this field across the access-info table to spot which ones show direct access rather than tunneled mode.
