Description: Huawei voice digital interface MIB for managing ISDN BRI/PRI and E1/T1 digital telephony port configuration.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is HUAWEI-VO-DIGITAL-IF-MIB?

HUAWEI-VO-DIGITAL-IF-MIB is a Huawei/Huawei-3Com vendor MIB that configures digital voice trunk interfaces on Quidway series routers - but its actual scope is channel-associated signaling (CAS), not ISDN BRI/PRI as the name might suggest. It's organized into a common port/timeslot-group configuration table (hwVoDigitalIfCommonCfgTable), an E&M signaling group (hwVoDigitalIfEMCfgTable, hwVoDigitalIfEMABCDCfgTable for ABCD signaling-bit behavior, hwVoDigitalIfEMTimerTable for signaling timers), and a much larger R2 (Compelled Signaling / MFC-R2) group, hwVoDigitalIfR2CfgTable, covering line/register signaling parameters such as billing category, calling-party category, digit collection, DTMF/MFC timers, ANI, and country-specific R2 variants, plus hwVoDigitalIfR2ABCDCfgTable for R2's own ABCD bit patterns. Because R2 and E&M are timeslot-oriented CAS protocols carried over E1/T1 digital trunks, this MIB is really about configuring per-timeslot-group signaling behavior on those trunks rather than ISDN Layer 2/3 call setup. It is deployed on Huawei/H3C digital voice gateway routers carrying legacy PBX/PSTN trunk traffic over E1/T1, and engineers standing up these gateways can look up the HUAWEI-VO-DIGITAL-IF-MIB download when configuring R2 or E&M trunk groups.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in HUAWEI-VO-DIGITAL-IF-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Huawei/H3C Quidway series routers with digital voice trunk (E&M/R2) interface cards

Monitoring Examples

An operator reads hwVoDigitalIfR2CfgReqCallingCategory and hwVoDigitalIfR2CfgCongestion for a configured trunk group in hwVoDigitalIfR2CfgTable; calls failing to complete while the congestion object is set would point to R2 register signaling reporting network congestion rather than a dialing or ANI misconfiguration.

What Can Be Monitored

  • common digital voice port/group configuration
  • E&M ABCD signaling-bit configuration
  • E&M signaling timer values
  • R2 line/register signaling parameters (billing/calling category, ANI)
  • R2 ABCD signaling-bit patterns
  • R2 signaling timer configuration
