hwMstpiStpPortPointToPoint

Module: HUAWEI-MSTP-MIB

OID (symbolic): HUAWEI-MSTP-MIB::hwMstpiStpPortPointToPoint

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.42.4.1.20.1.10

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Whether the port connects the point to point link. If user set the port as a point to point port, the port is a point to point port in all instance of the MSTP. If user set the port as a point to point port but the port isn't, the mstp may import temporary loop. So user can use the default. When set the value, the hwMstpInstanceID must be 0.

What is hwMstpiStpPortPointToPoint?

Configures whether this port is treated as connected to a point-to-point link, which affects how quickly it can transition to forwarding. Forcing point-to-point on a port that is not actually point-to-point can introduce a temporary loop, so admins are advised to leave this at auto unless they have a specific reason. This setting can only be written when hwMstpInstanceID is 0.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.42.4.1.20.1.10
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> HUAWEI-MSTP-MIB::hwMstpiStpPortPointToPoint

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.42.4.1.20.1.10.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> HUAWEI-MSTP-MIB::hwMstpiStpPortPointToPoint.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.42.4.1.20.1.10.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> hwMstpiStpPortPointToPoint.1
