Description: This object indicates whether a device is enabled to notify its neighbors that its status is Overload: disable (0): indicates that a device is disabled from notifying its neighbors that its status is Overload. enable(1): indicates that a device is enabled to notify its neighbors that its status is Overload. onstartup(2): When a device is restarted or becomes faulty, it notifies its neighbors that its status is Overload.

What is hwIsisProcSetOverLoad?

This controls whether the router notifies its IS-IS neighbors that it is in Overload state: disable(0, the default) never does, enable(1) always does, and onstartup(2) does so automatically whenever the router restarts or becomes faulty. Setting Overload tells other routers not to use this router for transit traffic while still allowing directly-connected routes to it.
