Description: The count of packets received on this RTP connection and then discarded. A packet may be discarded because it is determined to be a duplicate, or for other reasons.
What is hprRtpPacketsDiscarded?
A count of packets received on this connection and then discarded -- for example because they were detected as duplicates -- in units of RTP packets. Admins use this alongside hprRtpDetectGaps to assess how much of the receive-side work is cleanup rather than useful delivery.
