What is prodRev?

This read-only DisplayString variable holds the product revision of the device that is the source of a reported SAN event. It helps an operator determine whether a reported issue is tied to a specific firmware or hardware revision level. An admin troubleshooting a recurring device event might compare the prodRev value across several arrays to check whether only units on an older revision are affected.
