What is hpnicfMPortGroupLimitNumber?

This read-create Unsigned32 sets the group limit number of the port, capping how many distinct multicast groups a port within a VLAN may simultaneously join. Admins use it to prevent a single access port from consuming excessive multicast bandwidth or forwarding-table entries by joining unbounded numbers of groups. For example, setting this to 4 on a residential access port restricts that subscriber to at most 4 concurrent IPTV channels.
