This read-create value reports the state of a connection entry in the MAC-in-MAC connection table: learned(1) means it was dynamically learned, configDynamic(2) and configStatic(3) mean it was configured, with static entries not subject to aging, and blackhole(4) means matching traffic is dropped. Admins use it both to see how an entry came to exist and to configure new entries, for example creating a blackhole entry to explicitly discard traffic toward a specific backbone destination. For example, an admin wanting to intentionally drop traffic destined for a known-bad remote B-MAC would create a connection entry with this object set to blackhole(4).
