What is hpnicfIpRanDcnNeChangeMode?
This read-only trap value indicates whether the most recent DCN topology-change event was a network element coming online or going offline. An admin cares because it shows, right from the trap itself, whether to investigate a node that just appeared or one that just disappeared from the DCN. For example, a value of offline(2) in a trap notification means a network element just dropped out of the DCN routing domain.
