hpnicfEponDeviceSampleMinimum

Module: HPN-ICF-EPON-DEVICE-MIB

OID (symbolic): HPN-ICF-EPON-DEVICE-MIB::hpnicfEponDeviceSampleMinimum

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.15.2.42.4.1.1.3.1.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-write

Description: The minimum Frequency of events this system will accept. A system may use the larger values of this minimum to lessen the impact of constant sampling. For larger sampling intervals the system samples less often and suffers less overhead. Unless explicitly resource limited, a system's value for this object SHOULD be 1, allowing as small as a 1 second interval for ongoing trigger sampling. Writing of the value can be done all the time.

What is hpnicfEponDeviceSampleMinimum?

Sets the minimum sampling frequency, in seconds (1 to 2147483647), the device will accept for ongoing event-trigger sampling; larger values reduce overhead from constant sampling on resource-limited systems, and the default should be 1 unless resources are constrained. An operator raises this on a heavily loaded device to reduce the CPU cost of continuous event monitoring.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.15.2.42.4.1.1.3.1.1.1
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> HPN-ICF-EPON-DEVICE-MIB::hpnicfEponDeviceSampleMinimum

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.15.2.42.4.1.1.3.1.1.1.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> HPN-ICF-EPON-DEVICE-MIB::hpnicfEponDeviceSampleMinimum.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.15.2.42.4.1.1.3.1.1.1.1 i <value>
