hpicfSaviObjectsBindingLifetime

Module: HPICF-SAVI-MIB

OID (symbolic): HPICF-SAVI-MIB::hpicfSaviObjectsBindingLifetime

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.5.2.1.1.2.1.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TimeInterval

Access: read-only

Description: The remaining lifetime of the entry. TimeInterval is defined in RFC 2579, it's a period of time, measured in units of 0.01 seconds, and the value is (0..2147483647). If hpicfSaviObjectsBindingType=manual, a value of 2147483647 represents infinity.

What is hpicfSaviObjectsBindingLifetime?

This TimeInterval object reports the remaining lifetime of a source-address binding entry, measured in hundredths of a second, with a value of 2147483647 meaning infinite lifetime for manually created bindings. Admins check this to know how much longer a dynamically learned (DHCP, SLAAC, or SEND) binding will remain valid before it expires and needs to be relearned. For example, a binding created via DHCP might show a remaining lifetime counting down from a value corresponding to the DHCP lease time, while a manual binding would show the maximum value indicating it never expires.
