snRadiusLoginMethod

Module: HP-SN-SWITCH-GROUP-MIB

OID (symbolic): HP-SN-SWITCH-GROUP-MIB::snRadiusLoginMethod

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.3.7.11.12.1.3.12.1.7

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: OCTET STRING

Access: read-write

Description: A sequence of authentication methods. Each octet represents a method to authenticate the user login process. Each octet has the following enumeration value: enable(1) - authenticate by command line interface enable password radius(2) - authenticate by requesting radius server local(3) - authenticate by local user account table line(4) - authenticate by telnet password tacplus(5) - authenticate by requesting tacplus server none(6) - do not authenticate tacacs(7) - authenticate by requesting tacacs server Setting a zero length octet string invalidates all previous authentication methods.

What is snRadiusLoginMethod?

Holds an ordered sequence of authentication methods (enable password, RADIUS, local account table, telnet password, TACACS+, none, or TACACS) tried for telnet/console login, one method per octet; writing a zero-length string clears all configured login methods. An admin sets this to, for example, RADIUS then local, so login falls back to the local account table if the RADIUS server is unreachable.
