snAgEraseNVRAM

Module: HP-SN-AGENT-MIB

OID (symbolic): HP-SN-AGENT-MIB::snAgEraseNVRAM

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.3.7.11.12.1.2.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Action object to erase NVRAM of the agent. The following values can only be read: normal(1) error(2)... operation failed or bad flash erasing(4)...agent is erasing NVRAM flash

The following value can be written: erase(3).....do erase

The agent will return a response even before the erase is done. And the read value will be erasing until erase is done. And the erase request will be rejected until error or normal.

What is snAgEraseNVRAM?

An action object used to erase the agent's NVRAM: reading it returns normal(1), error(2) if a prior erase failed, or a value indicating the flash is currently erasing; writing erase(3) starts the erase. The agent replies immediately even though the erase itself takes time, and it rejects further erase requests until the operation finishes (reaching error or normal), so an admin should poll this object to know when it's safe to issue another command.
