What is hpicfUrpfConfigGlobalEnable?
This read-write flag, defaulting to false, controls whether Unicast Reverse Path Forwarding (URPF) is enabled globally on the switch, a feature that helps prevent IP spoofing by verifying a packet's source address has a valid route back out the interface it arrived on. Admins turn it on to enable spoofing protection device-wide before configuring per-interface URPF modes. An admin hardening a router against spoofed-source DoS traffic would set this to true(1) as the first step in enabling URPF.
