The value of this object is valid when the value of the hpicfXcvrDiagnostics object is DOM.

What is hpicfXcvrErrors?

A bitmask of transceiver-level error conditions such as xcvrTypeNotSupported(3), laserBiasCurrentFault(9), or rxLossOfSignal(16), letting an admin quickly see why an optic is misbehaving beyond simple power/temperature thresholds; only valid when hpicfXcvrDiagnostics indicates DOM support.
