hpicfDhcpClientImageFileUpdate
Module: HP-ICF-DHCPCLIENT-MIB
OID (symbolic): HP-ICF-DHCPCLIENT-MIB::hpicfDhcpClientImageFileUpdate
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.5.1.57.1.3
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: This object facilitates enabling or disabling of the image file update feature through DHCP. Setting this object to 1 enables this feature and setting it to 2 disables this feature. This MIB object can be set to 1 only if hpicfDhcpClientVendorSpecOptionStatus has already been set to 1. By default, hpicfDhcpClientImageFileUpdate is set to 1. When this feature is enabled, the Auto-TFTP settings will be disabled.
What is hpicfDhcpClientImageFileUpdate?
This setting enables or disables automatic firmware or image file updates delivered through DHCP. Admins must first enable hpicfDhcpClientVendorSpecOptionStatus before this feature can be turned on, and enabling it automatically disables the separate Auto-TFTP update mechanism. An admin relying on DHCP-based auto-provisioning would keep hpicfDhcpClientImageFileUpdate at its default enabled(1) so new devices can pull firmware updates automatically via DHCP options.
